No Rooming In Tonight

We had planned on rooming in tonight to take Adelaide and Jackson home tomorrow. However, plans changed. We found out that both of them dropped their heart rates last night so their stay has been extended. This is a common thing that all three babies do, we just thought Addie and Jack had grown out of it.

What is rooming in you ask? It is when the parents of a NICU baby stay in house at the hospital with their baby in the room but nurses close by. Depending on how each of our kids are doing we may have one, two, or three babies in with us when we room in. If all goes well during the night, the baby is discharged the next day.

As always, we are taking this one day at a time. We may not know when we are bringing home a baby until the day before we actually do. We did spend some good quality time up at the hospital today. I snuggled with my two little boys and Paul snuggled with is baby girl.
