Trip to Waco

What a fun weekend we had! Saturday morning Paul and I loaded up the triplets and drove down to Marlin (about 20 minutes outside of Waco) to Paul's grandparents. Paul's papaw had one son (Paul's dad Al), who had two sons (Paul and his brother Mark), then of course Paul had Jackson and Carter. So we took a 4 generation picture while we were there.

The real reason we went to Waco though was because my good friend Melissa had her wedding reception Saturday night. So after the big photo session in Marlin, Paul's dad and brother loaded up the kids and dropped them off back to our house where my mom and dad stayed with the triplets overnight.

So we strapped them in and had to say goodbye to our sweet babies (so sad):

It was decidedly harder than we expected to leave them. We knew they were in good hands with Grandfather Alfred and Mark driving them back and my parents taking them overnight, but we really did miss them. Grandma Donna quickly took pictures of them upon arrival:

Carter staring down his sister, he is so curious about his siblings

Jackson (can you tell he is getting some blonde hair in)

So Paul and I headed off to get ready and attend the reception. Melissa and Matthew got married in Mexico and we could not attend the actual wedding. It was great to get to participate in the reception. Melissa you looked beautiful (wish I had a picture), you are a lucky man Matthew!

Paul and me, it was great to get out and be social!

Then when we returned Sunday, Addie and I attended a wedding shower for our good friend Callie. Addie was very well behaved and quite a crowd pleaser. It is a little easier for Paul with 2 babies vs. 3, so Addie got to have a girls day. We got to see lots of folks from my home town Aledo. I am always amazed at how many people follow our blog. Thank you all for your kind words and support.
