Is It Hot In Here?

Thursday evening after swim lessons Paul and I realized that the temperature in our house had steadily risen. We check the AC and after further inspection we realized that it was NOT WORKING! We quickly called to get a repair person out. They could not come until Friday afternoon so we all suffered through the night in a very warm house.  The report from the repair person was that the AC unit would not be repaired until Tuesday.  That's right folks we have not had air conditioning for 5 days!

Luckily this week in North Texas has not been as bad as it could be.  The highs have been around 95 (vs. upwards of 110 the summer I was born) and we have had off and on rain which is almost unheard of in July.  Even with the "cooler" temperature we made the decision to pack up and head to my parent's house about 30 minutes away.  Unfortunately we do not travel light...we filled up 2 cars and my SUV with stuff.

So my sweet parents got some visitors this weekend.  We also had planned on hosting a 4th of July party at our house and moved the festivities to my parent's house (they got to host an impromptu party too).  It actually ended up working out great.  We could swim, cook out, and still see some pretty decent fireworks.  Lots of friends came over and even a few other kids.  Andrea brought Hazel over who is a month younger than the triplets and Jaedeanne brought Ruby who is around a year older than the triplets.

A BIG thank you to my mom and dad for letting us invade your house, eat your food, have a party, and enjoy your AC! You are such a help with the babies we couldn't do it without you!  We hope everyone had a fun and safe 4th of July weekend.
