Any of you who live in Texas know it is HOT. This year is WAY above average, and it is exhausting! The kids really can't go play outside because most of the day it is dangerous. For a stretch there, it was almost 100 degrees at 10pm! That meant daytime highs were upwards of 110, that is insane even for Texas. The play equipment gets so hot that it can burn little legs. Sometimes, if we have enough energy, we let them play outside in the hose and wet down the playground to cool it off. If they are wearing grubby clothes we just let them go out and play in those, no swimsuits necessary. After playtime is over, we do their bath outside with the hose. Even though our backyard gets shade in the evenings it is still very uncomfortable and we only can spend about an hour outside.
Those jelly shoes are her favorite, there is always drama when it is time to take them off.
The added bonus, our grass gets watered and our kids are entertained.

Even with the big slide, the little side is still a fan favorite.
