As part of our continued fun weekend, we went over to our former neighbors new house. They have an awesome pool...and a diving board. The kids warmed right up to jumping off the diving board, because that is WAY more fun than just jumping off the side! To my shock, Carter was by far the most enthusiastic about it.
For those of you wondering, the kids are doing great with their new beds. We have a bribe/punishment system going. If they get out of bed or act up after we leave the room at night and we have to come back in, their favorite toys are taken away...no warnings. Believe me, it is major punishment. We have tried other forms of punishment, but this seems to get their attention real quick. As far as the reward goes, when I come down in the morning, if everyone has stayed in their beds they all get a Mickey sticker (or one of his friends). This reward is nice because then they go to school and tell their teachers that they made good decisions last night and have the proof in the form of a sticker.
Obviously every kid is different and different things make different kids tick. Luckily, my three really like their favorite toys (or lovies) and stickers. I hope this good behavior continues!
