The Lord Has Risen!

Easter Sunday topped off an awesome weekend.  The kids behaved well and we spent quite a lot of time as a family.  On Sunday, we got up and went to church at 9:30am.  We made the bold move of bringing all three of the kids to the big service with us.  We sat in the balcony (the railing came up to about their collar bones, which made Paul and me rather nervous) and had a great view of the orchestra and choir.  The kids LOVED it.  They loved that they knew what to say when pastor said "Christ Has Risen!" (yes we had been practicing "Lord" but they caught on) and they knew the Lords Prayer as well.  Addie even added her voice to the "Hallelujah" chorus.  Jack had to briefly be escorted out, but he recovered and we returned.

After church we went home to find that the Easter Bunny had visited our house. We made the decision to email him and ask him to hide eggs inside since the weather was iffy. Addie gets the whole egg hut thing, Jack and Carter were somewhat distracted by what was in them!

On the way to Dallas.  Naps were not really in the schedule.  Anyone who knows me knows that is a very difficult thing for me to grasp.  Luckily my kids still NEED some sort of nap.

Jack was all hopped up on candy.  He said he was still hungry after eating it all and we told him he could have a granola bar to which he replied "NO! Candy will make me feel better!"

Sunday evening, my parents came out to the house to cook out and give the kids their Easter gifts.  All three got pajamas.  The boys got Superman and Adelaide got two pair, one nightgown and matching baby nightgown and the coveted Rapunzel nightgown.  The girl is in heaven.
