HAT TRICK: Concerts In The Garden

We had the most fun on Friday night at the annual Concerts in the Garden! The kids, my parents, Paul's parents, Paul and headed to the park for this neat event. The night we went a great jazz band played and since the kids are really into horns they loved it! The concept is that you can purchase a table or do lawn seats. We chose lawn seats and brought a blanket, some colors, food and drinks. The kids immediately noticed that a classmate was seated just in front of us. Beckett and his parents were seasoned vets of the Concerts and brought a bunch of glow in the dark stuff they graciously shared. At the end of the concert the band plays to fireworks. We didn't make it to the very end, but luckily we can see the fireworks from our front lawn so we raced home, put on PJs and watched them from there.
