We got to go to church today, it was my first time in a couple of months. It felt really nice to actually be there verses watching it online (as I have been doing for the last two months or so). Everyone at First United Methodist has been just awesome. All the love and support from our church and both of our parent's church (Trinity Lutheran and Park Cities Baptist) is so comforting! God has blessed us in so many ways.
All the babies are doing great. Adelaide's x-rays came back negative for infection so we are now just letting her tummy rest for a while then they will reintroduce food gradually. Jackson was described this morning as "model citizen" by the doctor. He has proven to be quite the character. Carter has some bloating they are watching. He is not going to have any food today and get IV fluids and antibiotics. They will check him again tomorrow morning. At this point, it does not appear that he has the same thing as Adelaide, but they are being extra cautious.
We have had the best nurses and doctors in the NICU. We are so thankful for their care and support. It is quite an assignment for one nurse to have our trio! While it is always hard to leave the babies, it is so comforting to know they have the best care possible.
