Sometimes it is so weird to see your children act EXACTLY like you or your spouse. Carter is our purest example of a clone. He not only looks like Paul, he acts like him. The boy likes the same types of food, became obsessed with Superman almost completely independent of Paul, he loves to sleep and snuggle...and some would call them both "mamma's boys" (not that there is anything wrong with that).
Below is a picture of Paul next to Carter, I really have no idea how old he is, but looks to be roughly the same age. When BeeBee sent this picture of Paul over, we called each of the kids over separately and asked them who was in this picture. All three immediately said "Carter."
The only differences I can detect are as follows: First, Carter has blue eyes and Paul has brown. The thing is, the blue of Carter's eyes are not really like mine, Jack's or Addie's. It is a darker and deeper blue where ours is lighter. Second, Carter is a gregarious child. He is not afraid to talk, and talk, and talk without really saying anything. Apparently Paul was on the shy side as a child (not anymore).
It is really is funny to see the two of them together. Paul's friends get a big kick out of Carter and how much he is like his dad. I feel certain that these similarities will lead to conflict in their relationship at some point, but my hope is that Carter won't get away with anything...because his dad will know EXACTLY what he is doing.
