36 Hours of Adventure

The adventure started about 5am on Friday morning. Carter yelled to me that he had "almost" threw up. I got him a bucket when he calmed down and went back upstairs. About 15 minutes later he called me down again. This time there was no "almost" about it. Good thing the bucket was there. 

For round two, Carter made it to the bathroom in time but school was ovbously out of the question. 

Also in question was the fun Friday night and Saturday we had planned. At home he did ask for chicken nuggets for breakfast while we watched the Michael Buble special I recorded. Thankfully, Carter seemed fine the rest of Friday, so we picked up Addie and Jack and headed to Grapevine. 

We went to our room first at the Gaylord and changed the kids into their jammies. Then after a quick bite to eat, we headed to the train depot. 

The shuttle to the depot made the "favorite" list for the kids...so did the elevator ride. After we arrived at the depot we took our seats for the North Pole Express!! Jack was not a fan of the elves on the train, so note his look of suspicion. 

Carter, however LOVED the elves and asked if they would take a picture with him. After the train ride, we saw a show with the elves and Santa!  

After our adventure we went back to the hotel for a rather poor nights sleep. I'll write more on Saturday's adventure in my next post.
