Exhausted!

It has been kind of a crazy week this week. First I flew out to Boston Sunday morning and left the house at 4:30am! I had a conference there that I attend every year so it was good to see some old friends (at last year's conference I found out I was pregnant when I landed). I returned Wednesday at midnight. So it was a long couple of days.

On a very sad note, Paul's grandfather Jack "Papaw" passed away. He was an amazing man who had such a strong faith. He led by example and will be missed by all who knew him. Obviously Paul and I had great respect for him, he is who our Jackson is named after. We did make it down to Marlin (Waco area) to see Papaw a few times with the babies so he did get to meet them and love on them.

Paul went down Wednesday night for the viewing and to spend some time with his family. A BIG thank you to my mom and dad for watching the babies until my flight arrived (late I might add). My mom was able to spend the night and help me get everyone loaded to go to the funeral in the morning. We really couldn't do this without the help and support of our parents. Additionally, Nanny Kelly is a lifesaver. She is not only wonderful with the babies, but is very flexible with us, helps us around the house, and a joy to have around.

We took some fun pictures last weekend and attended the NICU reunion. More on that later.

Below are some pictures of the babies and Papaw Jack a few months ago. Our Jack has a big name to fill, he was a great man.

The babies did great during the car ride, lunch, the funeral, the burial, back at Mamaw's house, and the car ride home. They only fussed at Mamaw's right before eating and when we were leaving (so sad to leave they said). I think we are all tired physically and emotionally and looking forward to a relaxing weekend.
