6 Month Checkup

This has been an exciting week for the triplets. First, on Monday we went to the doctor for their 6 month checkup and accompanying shots. The visit went great, all three are growing and Carter is even in the 10th percentile for a 6 month old (remember they are about the size of a 4 month old so Addie and Jack are not on the 6 month chart yet). Of course the shots are always traumatic and the babies are fussy for a few hours after. Addie and Carter really drag it out too. Jack screams initially then gets kind of lethargic. But going to the doctor for their check ups is always comforting because I am able to get some feedback on their development and schedule from a professional. Here are their stats:

Adelaide: 23 inches long, 11lbs 2oz
Jackson 24 inches long, 12lbs 2oz
Carter 25 1/4 inches long, 14lbs 6oz

Please note that Carter is more than 2lbs bigger than Jack and more than 3lbs bigger than Addie. The doctor was pleased with all three and their development. She even suggested we go ahead and introduce solid foods to their diet. Of course I had to mentally prepare myself so the first test did not happen until Wednesday evening.

The rice cereal came with mixed reviews...
Poor Carter had a bad day, he just wasn't in the mood for anything new.
Jack was very unsure of what was in his mouth and kept a suspicious look in his face the whole time.

Addie kept looking at her dad then would get a look of concern when she had the food in her mouth.

We can't keep Carter from flipping on his tummy while sleeping. This is how we find him usually.

Addie is ready to go to lunch today with Poppy, she loves getting out and about!
