Featured Child...Jackson Will

Today is Jack's turn to be in the spotlight. Jack is our middle child both in size and in birth order. He is much thinner than Addie and Carter and does not have that baby fat on him. We hypothesise that is due to his relentless movement. Jumpin Jack is a very appropriate name. He is always moving and making noise. Jackson loves it when you assist him with standing up, his quest to be a big boy is never ending. He is also a mamma's boy. He will often give me a full face smile when I walk in.

Jack has blonde, almost white hair. In some pictures he looks bald, but he is not his hair is just really light. He is very fair skinned and like his brother and sister, has deep blue eyes. He has the longest eyelashes that are straight as a board but tough to see because they are so light. Jackson was the first and only one so far to get teeth. It makes him look older than he is (kind of sad for mommy). When he grins he gets this look like he knows something that you don't. He is what we call "spirited," with a high level of energy.

Jackson and his brother will rough house more than they do with their sister. It is like they know they need to be gentler with her (we also watch closely that they don't get into a position where they could cause her hemangioma to burst). Jack can roll over quite easily and like his siblings sleeps almost exclusively on his stomach. Jackson eats really well for the most part and when we say his name opens his mouth ready to eat. He is also generally the neatest eater and does not spit food back out as much ("neat" is a relative term, he is by no means clean, just cleaner than Addie and Carter).

 

When we go anywhere, Jack is always awake and looking around. He is by far our most alert child. He also loves Norman the most and laughs and pets him when Norm decides to stick around to accept Jack's love. Jack is currently our child who gets upset most (the teeth probably didn't help that). He often teeters on laughing and screaming with wild mood swings. If Addie or Carter get upset, Jack will likely follow suite as well. But that smile...it is contagious! He sometimes starts laughing and can hardly stop. His grin is adorable and we love to make him smile
